2014 Western Regional Emergency Medicine Student Symposium hosted by UC Irvine School of Medicine in collaboration with the Keck School of Medicine of USC: September 20, 2014
The 2014 Western Region Emergency Medicine Symposium was hosted by the Emergency Medicine Interest Groups of UC Irvine and USC and took place on September 20, 2012 at the UCI Irvine School of Medicine. The event was a tremendous success, and included lectures and workshops, such as:
- Emergency simulations
- Ultrasound stations – cardiac, orbital, and others
- Google Glass in emergency medicine
- Mock interviews
- Speed mentoring with program directors from UC Irvine, USC, Stanford, Highland, UCSF-Global Health, UCSF-Fresno, UCLA-Olive View, Loma Linda, UC Davis, UCSD, Kaiser San Diego, Kawaeh Delta, and others
- MS3 and EM sub-internship advice
- Deciding on EM
and many others.
The symposium went amazingly, and UCI EMIG would like to thank faculty advisor Dr. Shahram Lotfipour and the rest of the UCI Emergency Department for their work and support.
